Through its publicity campaign, "Books to Babies" program, and community-wide efforts to put books in the hands families in need, Read It Loud! Savannah is working with the media as well as government, corporate, education and nonprofit partners to communicate the importance and benefits of reading aloud to children, especially from birth through age five.

Picture a child, any child, sitting comfortably in his parent's lap enjoying a story being Read Aloud! This simple act, repeated daily for as little as ten minutes, improves parenting and bestows on the child the gifts of love, language, imagination and a promising future. Promoting this nurturing and educational family activity is the vision and purpose of the Read it LOUD! Foundation.
